Fundraising

 

Fundraising helps our club to maintain the great services without adding further costs to players and their parents through higher fees.

Each year the Board sets a fundraising target and the Club Operations Standing Committee seeks to achieve that target.
The main activities to raise funds are:

  1. Credit Union Raffle
  2. Entertainment books
  3. Quiz nights
  4. Wine drives
  5. Barbecues at junior and senior Country carnivals
  6. Meals at ABL games

As well many teams will get involved attempting to raise money for events including our Under 14 teams who are always trying hard to qualify for the Under 14 Nationals Carnivals in September each year. Throughout the year, volunteers will be required to assist this fundraising effort in many ways from selling raffle tickets, wine or Entertainment books to family, friends and neighbours or simply attending a function and having a good time.

It is very likely that if you or your child play(s) at Forestville you will be asked to join us to support our club’s fundraising activities. Often, you will be asked to do so as a team not as individuals and teams who volunteer to assist with any of the fundraising activities will be given priority and will be supported by us to conduct their own fundraising activities at Forestville. I trust we are all looking forward to a call from one of the Board members or a request from your team manager to assist in the coming weeks.

With fundraising, people get something for their money and best of all, the more money raised through fundraising, the more our Club can do for our members.

So lets all do our best to sell raffle tickets, entertainment books and other fundraising items to work colleagues, friends and relatives.
Entertainment Book

 

For the past few years our Club has sold Entertainment Books. We have not sold many each year and this year we have a target to sell at least one book for each team; that means over 60 books. For each book sold, our Club makes $13 so if we make our target we will make $780.

Your Team Manager will be receiving promotional material in April and the books will be available from 1 May 2010.

Credit Union Raffle

 

Forestville Eagles for many years has sold tickets for the Credit Union Community Lottery.

We are again pleased to be selling tickets in this wonderful lottery that has been a great fundraiser for your Club. Your Team Manager will have several books per team and if we sell all tickets, we will have made over $3,000 for our Club.

Ticket books must be returned to your Team Manager by Sunday 30 May 2010.
