Club Membership
We recognise that a Club can only be successful if is able to secure a strong membership base.
The membership year (for playing and social members) will cover a calendar year, which means the period from January to December.
The Club will have three categories of membership.

  • Life Members,
  • Playing Members and
  • Social Members


Life Members
Eligibility for and the process for conferring Life Membership is outlined in the Constitution.

Playing Members
All players who have paid subscription fees for a season will be members of the club for the membership year which includes the finals of that season. This means that a player who pays summer subscription fees will be a member for the year in which the finals of that season are played (ie for the 2009/2010 Summer Season the membership will cover the 2010 membership year).
Where the player is new to the club and is playing their first summer season, membership will include the period from when subscription fees are paid until the end of the following calendar year (ie a new member who pays their subscription fees on 1 October 2009 for the 2009/2010 Summer season will have membership for the period from 1 October 2009 to 31 December 2010.

Social Members
Any member of the public can apply to become a Social Member. A fee of $10.00 per year has been established for Social Members. Membership will not commence until the fee has been paid.

Applying for Membership – Playing and Social members
Playing members must complete the player registration form which includes the membership application.
Social members must complete the Membership Application Form. Each Membership Application must be supported by an existing Club member.
Full (provisional) Membership commences from the date the payment of the membership fee is paid.
Confirmation of membership is made at the next Board of Directors meeting.
A list of new members will be presented at each Board of Directors meeting for endorsement. Where the does not wish to endorse the membership application, they must provide their reasons in writing to the member.
Should the member wish to challenge their declined application they can do so under the Grievance Policy.

Membership Records – Playing and Social members
A record of members will be kept at all times in the Club office. The record shall include the three categories of membership in member number order.
Access to membership records will be confidentially maintained. Members may choose to allow the club to refer their details on to associated organisations.
Details of Junior members will not be provided to any third party unless access is approved by the member’s parent or legal guardian or where the Club must provide those details under State or Commonwealth law.
