Head Coach – Forestville Eagles Women's NBL1 Program (2027 Season)

The Forestville Eagles Basketball Club is seeking an exceptional leader to become the Head Coach of our Women's NBL1 Program for the 2027 season.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of South Australia's premier basketball programs and build a team capable of competing for the NBL1 Central championship. We are looking for a coach who combines elite basketball knowledge with outstanding leadership, a passion for developing people, and a commitment to creating a high-performance culture.

The Role

As Head Coach, you will provide leadership for the Women's NBL1 program, setting the standards, culture, and direction for on-court success while contributing to the long-term growth of the Forestville Eagles pathway.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the Women's NBL1 and Reserves program.
• Develop and implement a championship-focused playing style and team culture.
• Recruit, retain, and develop high-quality playing talent.
• Build strong relationships with athletes, assistant coaches, support staff, and club stakeholders.
• Plan and deliver high-performance training sessions and game preparation, including opposition scout.
• Manage team selection, player development, and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with the club's junior pathway to support athlete progression into NBL1.
• Board engagement, including season start and end presentations.
• Foster a positive, professional, and inclusive environment that reflects the values of the Forestville Eagles.
• Represent the club professionally within the basketball community.

• A proven ability to lead successful high-performance basketball programs.
• Strong tactical and technical coaching knowledge.
• Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
• A passion for developing athletes both on and off the court.
• The ability to build a positive, accountable, and winning culture.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• A collaborative approach to working with club leadership and support staff.
• A current coaching accreditation (or willingness to obtain required accreditation).
• A current Working With Children Check and any other required compliance certifications.
